SOFIA TÁVORA

Sofia graduated in Law in the University of Lisbon in 2020 and is currently studying for a master's degree in Law and Legal Science at the same university.

During her degree, Sofia developed a taste for the areas of Public Law, having completed two extracurricular internships in law firms and one in a notary's office.

Sofia’s first contact with the legal profession came in August 2018, at SRS Advogados, in the Public and Regulatory Law Department. She later did an extracurricular internship at Pinto Ribeiro Advogados in the Public and Regulatory Law Department.

It was also during her degree that Sofia made an internship at the Notary's Office of Dr Frederico Soares Franco, where she had the opportunity to monitor notarial acts of various kinds, as well as their preparation and registration, which allowed her to acquire a relevant knowledge in the areas of Notary and Registry Law.

After completing her degree in 2020, Sofia undertook a professional traineeship at Sofia Galvão Advogados, where she worked mainly in the areas of Real Estate Law, Urban Planning Law, Administrative Law and Notarial and Registration Law. During her traineeship she also worked on administrative and civil litigation cases.

Sofia joined the Portuguese Bar Association in 2022. She also worked as an associate at the same firm, and started working with Duarte de Lima Mayer in June 2023,

Given the profile of our office, with a strong international component, Sofia's particular proficiency in French, in addition to her experience in areas such as Notary and Real Estate Law, has enabled her to give a personalised response to a variety of our Clients in that language.

Sofia is also fluent in English.
